Littleton PhabSail holds a successful FunDay
Over 50 people came to Littleton PhabSail for sailing, barbeque sausages and home-made cake on Saturday 27th July.
This included 5 families who joined us for the first time to take their children with disabilities sailing (many of whom have said they will come back again) and members of Runnymede Dolphins (a Woking charity offering people with restricted mobility the opportunity to swim). In addition, many of the regular sailors from Littleton Sailing Club (who kindly allow us to base our activities at the club) popped in to visit as well.
“We had a fantastic time. We will definitely come again – it was so calm and relaxing.”
“A big thank you to Ros Lamb and her many volunteers for making our
visit to Littleton Phabsail so special. Safety and professionalism were
in abundance putting our ‘sailors’ at ease, we salute you!”
Activities Co-ordinator Ros Lamb said “All our volunteers worked extremely hard to make this event a success. I am delighted that so many people who have not salied before came along to join the fun”
We raised £250 during the afternoon, which is around a fifth of our annual running costs
